This well-respected and much sought after 1981 Yamaha XS650 Special has recently been imported from North America where its spent all its life.
As you can see it has a few bits missing; mirrors being the most obvious. We also noted that; The headlight rim is scuffed, the tachometer is dented, rear mudguard is dented, RH side panel is cracked and much of the bright chrome is sadly pitted.
The wheels look straight with nice clean alloy
Forks look straight but are slightly pitted
Headlight lens and bowl look ok
Tailight and indicators are good
The tank looks very clean inside
The exhausts are solid but the chrome silencers are slightly pitted
The chainguard is straight
The seat looks in good condition
The paint is a non-standard DIY job
When we hooked it up to a booster battery we had it firing/running on easystart spray but the throttle doesn't appear to be working and the carbs will require some attention.
We are selling this bike as a trade clearance project so make us an offer and get started!
